Title: dansguardian: Auth plugin returned error code: -3

I am using dansguardian with ident authentication using the retina-scan-0.2.0 ident daemon on the XP workstations. It all works quite well except I keep getting the following message very regularly in my messages log:

Has anybody seen this before and does anybody know what it means and what I could do about it?

Yes, I've seen it before, but it doesn't seem to cause any problems
No, I don't know what causes it

my windows clients use retina scan,
could be as good a place to start checking as any
