Title: SME 7.3 Domaincontroller with Win2003 Domainmember - Win Bluescreen
Post by: uli334 on May 22, 2008, 07:44:51 AM
Hello,

I've got a big problem with SME 7.3 and Windows 2003 R2 working together.

This is the scenario:
- SME 7.3 working as domaincontroller and fileserver
- Windows 2003 R2 is member of this SME domain
- the Win2003 is working as terminalserver, using the buildt in RDP protocol

The problem:
- the Win2003 produces at least one time a day a bluescreen only a reboot gets it working again
- this effect  is observed only after updating from SME 7.2 to 7.3
- the same combination with SME 7.2 and Win2003 is working perfectly
- this problem is reproducable, we've got it three times - with every Upgrade from 7.2 to 7.3

- workstations which are members of the same domain are not affected, they are running perfectly with SME 7.3 and 7.2 ...

I dont know if this is a bug of the SME, maybe some alignments of the Win2003 must be changed...?
Has anyone a suggestion about the reason of this behaviour?

Greetings,
Uli

hi..

you should find in windoze event viewer the reasons of the bsod, particularly the event id number.

then take a look here www.eventid.net (http://www.eventid.net)

you say that ONLY w2003 suffers.. I think this is a w2003 issue, not a sme one

bsod is a windows problem - end of story.

Moving this topic to the General Discussion forum, it is more appropriate there. Thanks!
