Title: Ventrilo

Hi guys

I'm using SME 7.3 fully updated.

Followed the guide in the wiki, seems like vent is running but I can't connect to it from my internal LAN (or anywhere for that matter). Anyone know of an up to date howto with the latest versions?

Our game clan has "grown up" so it's not used very often now ( https://secure.magicwilly.info/BF2/3784.txt )

wget link in the how-to is broken as my free web host is gone, plus I was probably breaking some licence/redistribution requirement.

nothing more
try http://www.grc.com/x/ne.dll?rh1dkyd2
and probe port 3784 you will see it state
check also that you ventrilo client is compatible with your server version

Doing a fresh install accrding to wiki. Has anyone tried the wiki howto with the latest version?

in the final step

chown -R ventrilo:ventrilo /opt/ventrilo

I get an invalid user error. do i need to create this user on SME, and should I change the passwordstrength when i do?

Yes I do, and no I don't. It's working.
