Can anybody explain to me why after hours of inactivity, the message "Disabling IRQ #209" appears on the console? It keeps repeating itself.
After a reboot, it's gone.
Is this something from sme itself or is somebody/something triggering this?

Similar?

Well, only similar in the fact that it's about the same interrupt.
I am a newbie to linux so the replies in that thread are mostly way above my knowledge level.... I can't even get the output from that lspci -v command saved to a file so I can read the whole result....
I get the text "Disabling IRQ #209" on my terminal screen, seemingly at the same moment that clamav starts to scan.
At default, ClamAv scans every night. And every night these messages appeared.
When I changed the scan interval to once a week, now the messages only appear once a week.
So to me, it seems that there is a relation between ClamAv starting to scan and the appearance of the IRQ message.
So, at this point, my question is split into two parts:
What to do if this message is related to ClamAv?
How do I get the output from lspci -v in a textfile? I seem to need that info before I can do the next step mentioned in the other thread.
Any help is appreciated, specially when it is written in a way that a newbie can understand....

lspci -v >> textfile.txt
