Hi
I´d love to compile latest kernel for SME7.3 (download http://www.kernel.org/pub/linux/kernel/v2.6/linux-2.6.25.tar.gz and go on) to enable lm_sensors for my mini-itx motherboard who uses vt8231 chip.
That would allow me to keep my server up and running when I cannot move to SME8 because this mobo do not have support on Centos5.
So I´d like to join a interest group to do this, but besides to be a linux newbie and NEVER had done something like this, I don´t know what modules would be necessary to update to do not broke other things (like VPN). Right now I don´t care about to broke VPN, but I like to do the things write at first attempt! ;)
Anyone can help me?
Thanks
Jáder

The latest upstream kernel includes MPPE support for VPN, so there are no add-on modules for VPN required with that kernel.

Thanks Charlie
Anything else I should be warned ?
I´ll start to try to recompile it ASAP.
Later if works I´ll post here a link for anyone interested.
Thanks
