You speed up the process by installing from the smeupdates-testing repo and then report your results, either good or bad. If users report the updated packages work OK, then they will get released.

Code: [Select]
Error: Missing Dependency: libclamav.so.4 is needed by package dansguardian
Error: Missing Dependency: libclamav.so.4(CLAMAV_PUBLIC) is needed by package dansguardian
I cant find this dependency anywhere

To the bugtracker.

I don't think so. Before you go too far, try the following...
Code: [Select]
sv d freshclam
rm -f /var/clamav/mirrors.dat
sv u freshclam

This comes up from time to time. and I was pretty sure there was a bug reported on this already...

I do try installing from smeupdates-testing, most of the time without problems - where and how do I report the results?

In the bugtracker, as stated before and preferably as a comment to this bug: http://bugs.contribs.org/show_bug.cgi?id=4539

I got clamav 0.94 working. Just donwload clamav, clamav-db and clamd rpm from site (http://mirror.contribs.org/releases/7.3/smeupdates-testing/i386/repodata/repoview/C.group.html)
and installed with rpm -Uvh clam*.rpm

It appears to be working...

I have been running with DAG's RPM for CentOS4 since he released them 5 days ago and they run perfectly.

http://packages.sw.be/clamav/

http://packages.sw.be/clamav/clamav-0.94-1.el4.rf.i386.rpm
http://packages.sw.be/clamav/clamd-0.94-1.el4.rf.i386.rpm
http://packages.sw.be/clamav/clamav-db-0.94-1.el4.rf.i386.rpm

Those you use DanGuardian will have a problem updating as it has a hard requirement for a specific version of the clam libraries as noticed by groutley. The new release uses .5 libraries.
