Hi,
This is probably not an SME Server related issue but any help will do. I had HylaFax server running on my SME Server but had performance issues with my very basic machine. I decided to install Debian etch + Hylafax Server + AvantFax on another pc and gave it a fixed IP within the SME Server's range. All's well until I logged onto my XP machine again. Looks like an LDAP issue but I don't know how to fix it.
I can see my ibays through network shares but cannot access the network. e.g. \\server1, \\pc1, etc fails. My SME Server domain is server1.mybusiness.local where server1 is the machine name. I named the debian machine faxserser and it automatically assigned the domain name faxserver.mybusiness.local
How do I rectify this? I want all user accounts on server1. For now the sql db and faxes can stay on the faxserver. New with linux - Love my SME server?

My guess is that both machines are providing DHCP, but you only need one, try and see if your debian machine has DHCP enabled and if so disable it.

Thank you for the prompt reply. I have disconnected the faxserver for now, made a few config changes in SME and all's well again.
Googling for for a perfect symbotic existense between debian and SME Server or maybe even SME Server cluster! Will let you guys know. Consider this closed for now.
