Post by: LMCLO on June 25, 2008, 07:18:03 PM
Hello: I would like to download .pdf files for these SME Server Manuals: (a) Administrator (b) User. If they are available for Download, what is the URL? TIA!

I don't think exactly available for download but you can create your own.

see this thread:

Thank you! I will check out the links you gave me!   I like to have manuals on a local HD, when I install an OS.

Hello again: I was able to print one part of the Administrators manual (the Index pages) to a .pdf file, but when I tried that with the entire manual, not only did my browser (Mozilla Firefox 3 Beta 5 on CentOS 5.2) crash, but the OS crashed and rebooted. If you ever have time to put those manuals into .pdf format and make them available for Download, I'm probably not the only one who would like to Download them. Question: If I Download SME Server, are those manuals included in the Download? TIA!

No

Part of the reason the documentation is not in PDF format is that it is such a moving target. There are updates done daily by many different contributers. The decision was made keep them in one place (in the wiki) You should be able to download them as HTML to local disk and check them with a webbrowser.

There has been quite a few requests for PDF manuals, however the end result seems to be not to do it.
