Title: Can't connect to Ibay throug FTP

Hi

I have installed the SME server at my work. The first thing I am about to set up is my surveillance camera.

Camera is an AXIS cam.

But I can't get the connection between my Ibay (ipcam) and the axis unit to work.

I can access the Ibay in followings ways.
through Iexplore (Ipaddress/ipcam)
Through my windows network.

But I can't connect to the ftp!!
I have tried the methods in the manual but it won't work.

Please someone help me.

Have you enabled FTP access in the server-manager::security::remote access?

The SME developers consider FTP an insecure protocol and so it is disabled by default.

Once you enable it, you would need to enable ftp access, then allow password access.

Hopefully (for security reasons) your camera is on the local network...

Once ftp access is enabled, you should be able to login using the ibay name and ibay password.

Thank you for the reply. The server-manager::security::remote access was one of the issues. Another issue is that by default you can't write to an Ibay through ftp.

This issue was cleared out with following addon.
