I have registered a domain name, when I registered it, I was asked to specify a DNS Server, so I put in my SME server IP address.
On my SME server I input a domain name, pointed it to an ibay. But my domain does not come up. I keep getting a message:
"can't find the server at www. ####### .com"
On sme server I tried two settings under, Domain DNS servers: "Internet DNS servers" and "Resolve locally" but under both setting I get a same message: "can't find the server at www. ####### .com"
Any ideas what is wrong?

This is an Internet domain server that holds your domain information for that name. This server is where you will configure your A record and your MX records.
This is somewhat explained here:
http://wiki.contribs.org/SME_Server:Documentation:Administration_Manual:Appendix#Appendix_B._DNS
I use http://www.zoneedit.com/ to host my DNS.
