Title: Lotus domino 8 on SMEServer 7.3
Post by: brianr on July 07, 2008, 11:08:26 AM
Anyone had success installing Lotus domino 8 server on SMEServer 7.3?

Just tried it, and the installer just exits, have not been able to find any log messages or google help so far.

I suspect it might be needing the java engine?

I have run Domino 6 on a SME6.5  very successfully for 3 or 4 years installed using an RPM that I found, but we now need Domino 8.

If you check the requirements (http://www-1.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg27011238) you can see that it needs a RHEL5 architecture, since SME Server 7.x is build on CentOS 4.6, which is based on RHEL4 you will never get it to install on SME Server 7.
