Title: PT Translation
Post by: ngomes on July 14, 2008, 01:44:39 PM
Hi all,

Is there a way to find out who is the SME translation responsable for some language?

And, if someone cares, what are the necessary steps to be able to fully access http://translate.contribs.org/ ?

I want to start/continue/help/fix the PT_PT translation of SME Server.

The actual translation is too much Brazilian... The Portuguese people (Europe) don't like the way Brazilians write. Sorry to all Brazilians.

Thanks in advanced,

Nuno

Just to clarify for those reading, it is possible to have both pt_pt and pt_br translations.

Such as say Chaly, request the new language at bug tracker, and for reduce your work, tell Shad to copy all existing pt-br to pt-pt language, and then you can only edit those parts you are not agree.

It seems the pt-pt is already completed for a lot of entries... are they copies of pt-br or has someone already done a lot of work? Not sure if overwriting them is what we want.

 Hello.

 Good day.

In am An European Portuguese Native Speaker. If you want to, I can do some help translating some words, to Portuguese From Portugal, Not Brazil!

But if you requeire me to read, subscrive, Inscrive, or read lot of things, I will not do/go on that. Forget!

I only do this because I would like to see/have SME translated to Portuguese, and I hate things in Braziliam.

  Regards.

thanks for your help..

this is not the first time you say you don't want to read much more than 2 or 3 lines...

if you want to translate, you HAVE to subscribe and yes, you have to read and understand how to insert translations..

Ciao
Stefano

Hi all,

I've just created my account on Pootle at http://translate.contribs.org/

But my changes are not updated, i.e., when I change some field on the SME Server Panel datetime.po my changes are not updated although I suggested those changes.

What am I doing wrong?

Cheers,
Nuno
