I have been using Torrentflux 0.9.7-el4 for some time and did a SME
install at new HW recently, but...
On my test server (HP) I did a clean SME7.3 install, updates and
installed Torrentflux-tfb4art. It works very nice, a lot of new
features it really works nice.
But after restore of my latest backup I get “the message”:
Error
Database Connection Problems
Check your database-config-file. (inc/config/config.db.php)
On my test server I did a new clean SME 7.3 install and did a restore
of my latest backup. Then I installed Torrentflux-tfb4art.
Also here I get "the message"
I have done the same with other test-HW (IBM) and I still get "the
message"
Lastly I tried the production server (remote site), and installed
Torrentflux-tfb4art, and also here I get "the message"
I have tried with and without reconfigure / reboot at all installs
but nothing helps me.
The facts:
SME 7.3 standard install (family server) 12 users in several countries.
All updates to SME 7.3
Holding 3 Domains.
No other contribs.
512 MB ram, 1 Ghz CPU and 116 GB HD
Using vacant upload bandwidth to distribute different Linux distro’s
via the torrent network.
Installing Torrentflux-tfb4art exactly as described at the
http://wiki.contribs.org/Torrentflux
What am I doing wrong? I’m not a shark in contribs but I like
this nice Torrentflux thing :-P
Best regards

But after restore of my latest backup I get “the message”:
What method did you use to do the backup and restore ?
The databases may not be properly restored.
I note the TorrentFlux contrib installs to /opt/...
Did you include that (ie /opt) in your backup and restore ?
Check your database-config-file. (inc/config/config.db.php)
So did you check the config file mentioned ?
I'm guessing that the new install may be creating a default config.db.php file with settings that do not match your server's db name etc.

Hi mary
Thank you for your reply.
It seems like a lot of bugs have stopped development of this SME contrib more
than six month ago.
Unfortunately the old and well working Torrentflux have been removed before
the torrentflux-b4rt ever was working.
At the moment it seems like no working Torrenflux is available for the
SME7.
I give up Torrentflux installation for now :-(
