Hi,
I have been keeping an eye on E-Smith for some time and finally have a reason to install it. Can the base server (ie. as configured in the 5.1.2 download) function as the primary DNS server for an external domain? I have a need for a scaled down and hardened Linux distribution which could be used for this purpose (and for very little else).
I like the E-Smith system administration console and think this would be a great DNS solution for my project. The documentation suggests that this isn't possible, but I'm not sure why.

Sure!
Just configure it in console and go on!!!

Why bother with your own DNS when you can get it for free at www.mydomain.com?
