Just had to say that this distro is fantastic.
I was using an old server Dual P3 500Mhz - 512mb memory, to demonstrate Jasper reporting system. I was running some quite hefty queries, until I hit a memory issue. But when watching HTOP when running the report again, it didn't break a sweat! So I discovered Tomcat Java did not have enough memory. I upped it, restarted the service and ran it again. Ok it took a while to return the pivot (understandable considering the query), however it did still not break a sweat, load average was around 1.0 if that.
Thank you SME. Your server is not full of desktop apps killing the real need for a server. I love SME and look forward to giving it newer home server hardware in the coming months. Yeah I was using my home server to run it :)

Not knowing your query, nor your database backend, but did you optimize your query as well? Are proper indexes created and used by your query? This normally speeds up queries and keeps the used memory a lot lower.
