Title: Group Accounts

E-Smith has a great interface for creating individual user accounts but what about group accounts? Is there a way that group accounts can be easily created and that individual user accounts can be added to the group account? This is an important requirement for most organizations in which certain people are responsible for responding to questions or orders, etc. With Novell you can create group accounts in which certain people are members of that group and if a message is directed to the group account then all members of the group receive the e-mail message.
Also can IP Masq be used in addition to NAT or can it be disabled if NAT is being used from another device or server on the network? Thanks in advance

Hi Ed! Thanks for the post! Version 4.0 of the e-smith server and gateway does an great job of groups. It'll be out in a few weeks.  Beta version is available for download now.

Thanks for the input. I will check it out. What about the IP Masq. question when I already have NAT enabled on the network?

If I understand correctly, you already have some sort of gateway doing NAT for the computers on your network? In that case, you can use e-smith in server-only mode.

To put it another way Ed, another device is already operating as your
Internet gateway and is doing NAT, so your e-smith server does not need
to act as  the Internet gateway, and doesn't need to do address tranlation.

Thanks again for the help. I missed that in the documentation but now I know and life will be a little easier.
