Title: ssh access denied on clean install
Post by: wykyd on September 02, 2008, 11:33:08 AM
i just installed SME Server 7.3 and went to the server manager and enabled ssh from local networks, administritive access and passwords but whenever i try to ssh into it fromt he same network i get access denied.

i have tried installing all the updates fromt he server manager and it still wont let me log in - acces denied.

there are no contribs installed and i have no edited anything, apart fromt he remote access as stated above.

i know the cd is ok tested fine and i have a working install on another server that runs fine.

i have done a search but not come up with anything

any ideas, got me baffled.

Did you use the correct ssh protocol version? Version 2 is required.

Yes, as it turns out it was a problem with my keyboard

p works and shift works but for some reason shift+p does not

so after much bashing of head i came across it by accident.

completely SME unrelated.

strange fro a keyboard to do this though ....
