Title: Jabber - Open ports ???

I am very close to installing jabber on my SME v5.1.2 I do have one question however. Security. If I enable the ports needed by Jabber and those needed to connect to other messaging services. Will I be creating security risks for myself?

Every port what is open is actually a security risk!!!
Ideal is a firewall with no incoming ports open!
