Title: DELL Precision 360 Desktop - USB is not 2.0
Post by: idp_qbn on September 25, 2008, 07:19:34 AM
Hi,
I have installed a pretty bare-bones SME7.3 on a DELL Precision 360 Desktop.
I have added Darrel May's rsync backup and configured a USB disk to go with it, as per his instructions.
It transfers data at the appointed time, so it works.
BUT
The USB transfer is very slow - this suggest to me that SME 7.3 has not recognised the USB ports as being USB 2.0, but rather USB 1.1.
As a WinXP system in a previous life, its USB ports were definitely USB 2.0.

Can someone point me to a Howto or information on how to get SME to recognise the USB ports correctly? All help would be appreciated.
Cheers
Ian
