Title: SME server and PLESK
Post by: Lindsay on September 27, 2008, 03:15:09 PM
I know PLESK support CentOS but will it work to install it on SME?

And is CentOS easy to install RAID1 as SME is?

Hi

plesk is a control panel for hosting.. SME is not for hosting.. so you'd better look for (example)  Centos

About Centos and Raid, this is not the right place to ask..

PLESK (and webmin) is great for managing CentOS - a full distribution of CentOS, that is. There is no point using it for SME Server, which has been paired down to a bare essentials appliance and already has a set of admin screens for managing what is already there.

Plesk and SME Server administration functions will also clash, since Plesk changes config files directly, and SME Server changes the config files via a templating system.
