Title: POP3 collection problems
Post by: Russell Johnston on May 08, 2002, 09:21:30 PM
Hi, I have SME V5.1.2 with Update 1 and Stephen Noble's e-smith-multipop-0.1-4.

SMTP mail sending via my ISP work fine, but I cannot collect from any POP3 mailbox at my ISP. I don't see anything in the logs suggesting any attempt to connect, but being a newbie I am probably looking inthe wrong place! Multidrop is selected, and all the other fields appear to be filled out correctly. In case the main domain is important, I have set this as johnston.home (as suggested elsewhere). The SME box name is 'server', and in the multipop settings I have asked for mail to be delivered to name@server.johnston.home. There are no other virtual domains set.

Any advice welcome - I have been trying different settings for days without success - thanks!

e-smith-multipop-0.1-4 only works for dialup connections
and has been abandoned

permanent connections and other features ahve been added to
dungog-pkg-multidropmail

Or, you could try Vincent's multi-pop add on :-
