Title: Yet Another LDAP Question
Post by: gbentley on October 16, 2008, 07:32:15 PM
Been trawling for over an hour and cant seem to find an answer to this ....

Have setup Outlook 2007 for LDAP to view the list of usernames and that
works fine.

I can enter a single letter say 'b' and it will bring up all users with either
b as first letter of first name or first letter of second name - great.

However, how can I enter new items [i.e. our external clients details]

Is there a program that will do this leaving the users to just browse
or are there server settings to allow new enteries?

Many thanks!

Hi

AFAIK mail clients (outlook, TB, evolution..) can't write to ldap..

but if someone has some good info on how to configure ldap on SME to permit that.....

Ciao

Just found out - you can use the address book section of the horde webmail interface.

That will do me for now !!!

Via the server-manager Users/Groups/Directory panels.
