We are unable to update ClamAV on our SME 7.3 mail gateway, the mirrors complain:
Ignoring mirror xx.xx.xx.xx (has connected too many times with an outdated version)
The installed version of ClamAV is 0.93 and 0.94 is available.
When will that version be available to SME users?
This is actually rather critical, as infected mails are getting through as I type this...

EDIT:
The clamconf command shows that we use VERY old antivirus databases, from april. But the ClamAV page on the server manager shows that they are up to date??? Which one shall I trust? Manually running freshclam does not work.

hi
your AV engine is outdated, but your virus definitions are not.
if you want to update clamav, try
yum --enablerepo=smeupdates-testing update clam*
signal-event post-upgrade
signal-event reboot
HTH

Thanks a lot!
That worked like a charm!

Does that enable all of sme testing or just the clams part of it. Yes I also had infected emails come in and turn our server into a spam email server. So I guess my question is will clam stop that or is that a desktop issue? Thanks, Tracy

To make sure we all get it right:
yum --enablerepo=smeupdates-testing update clam*
That enables the testing repo for that single command, right?

Do you mean you send spam? I guess that is someone on your local network, and as long as the mails are virus free clam will not do anything about them. Or am I wrong?

Yes the desktop was sending out Canadian Pharmacy Viagra emails. I was up to 22k emails showing in the queue at one point.

Sorry, yes the desktop was on the local network. The user had opened an email that he should not have. Also in the above 22k emails in the queue was on the SME server queue.
