Title: Running a secure ecommerce site on E-smith
Post by: MSmith on May 11, 2002, 02:07:48 AM
I'm trying to setup an SSL-enabled (https) website on my e-smith server. However, no one can connect to the site using SSL unless they are on our internal network or they have a pre-designated IP address. How do I enable SSL access to our site for everyone, so that we can have secure transactions?

Thanks

Sounds like you may have it set for private server and gateway instead of public or maybe if the pages are setup on an ibay it is not set for public read access

It's setup for public and the site resides in the primary html directory with full public read access. The https directive returns a 404 error message.

Give a little more info on your setup.  The app you are trying to run may require a template fragment to be applied somewhere.

Is this something you have built or a GPL,Commercial etc.. e-commerce app and if so what is the name?
