Post by: hectorn on November 04, 2008, 08:44:50 PM
Hi everyone

I can´t add Ldap directory in Outlook 2003. I can add Ldap directory in Thunderbird ( it´s succesfully) but in Outlook not.

The configuration data are the same that THUNDERBIRD

The error is  Sintaxis not valid (34)

Can you help me please?

Most likely Outlook desires another syntax, hence the error. Thunderbird is not the same as outlook, you know? ;-)

I think there is an Outlook bug of some kind preventing 2003 (and 2002?) from communicating with the SME LDAP server.

I say this because LDAP works fine in Outlook 2007, and AFAIK in 2000 as well.

I use Outlook 2003, I setup my ldap address book setting its name and the base search (dc=domain,dc=com)  and everything works.

The only problem is that when you open a new message you have to press "To" --> "Advanced" --> "Find", put a space in the search name and click ok to have all your contact listed.
