Title: old subject any updates? Binding linux distro to sme
Post by: ramasule on November 14, 2008, 05:06:22 AM
Anyone have anything working with say sme 8 and advanced samba installed?

I am curious to know I will be trying it out when I get back home (2 days) but was hoping someone had tried it.

I know winbind binding hasnt worked for a while so I was hopeing someone has tryied the advanced samba AD controller or kerbos to authenticate linux to sme.

That is all,
DL

The wiki entries contain links to Bugzilla reports for each of these enhancements, which is a good way to track their progress.

No and you probably should not as the contribs are released and tested for SME 7.x. As long as SME 8 is in beta state no contribs (at least through smecontribs) for SME 8 will be released, most likely this will take until there are release candidates appearing as that is the moment developers have a more stable base to go from.

Yes I know about the bug trackers and such ... I was just trying to find maybe a forum user who was currently trying it.
