Title: Easiest setup of a blog?
Post by: reggae on November 24, 2008, 11:38:30 AM
I'm looking for the easiest and most simple blog software to set up under a single domain.
Would that be Wordpress or is there something simpler?
As is im hosting 10 - 20 domains, but only need a blog for one of them
Forgive me i'm new and hope this makes sense to somebody. :P
regards
Erik

Wordpress sounds like a good idea to me.

Wordpress.  It is the De facto Blog standard and very easy to use.

I'd suggest heading over to here:  http://wordpress.org/ and having a look around.  Wordpress has grown considerably in functionality and popularity over the past few years.

You can even signup for a free wordpress account here http://wordpress.com/ and try it out.

If you want the blog on your SME, you can use the Wordpress contrib from Dungog: http://wiki.contribs.org/Wordpress

It does work, but I wasn't to happy with the contrib. It installs in /opt where I preferred a single installation for each ibay. Anyway I just followed the instructions on the wordpress page and it turned out great.
