Title: rkhunter scripts directory change
Post by: AKn on December 03, 2008, 03:52:15 AM
Good day,

After the update to v7.4, the server is running well. However, I receive one daily error message from rkhunter.
Script directory does not exist: /usr/lib/rkhunter/scripts

It looks like the scripts directory has been moved to /usr/lib64/. Where can I update the scripts location pointer (it is not in the cron rkhunter script)?

ak

p.s. Our tzdata error has been fixed and that error does not get reported every day. Thanks!

This sounds like a bug that should be reported to the bug tracker.

Or did the user perhaps manually install the wrong (64bit) version of rkhunter?

Good day,

No, the user does not remember installing a 64 bit version of rkhunter manually. The only manual installs are ddclient, diskusage and cacti. perhaps, one of these referred to rkhunter but I don't know and I doubt it.

Could I just delete rkhunter?

No, the user does not remember installing a 64 bit version of rkhunter manually.

Nevertheless, user did install a 64bit version of rkhunter (if what you say about /usr/lib64 is correct).

You can delete and re-install rkhunter via:

rpm -e --nodeps rkhunter
yum -y install rkhunter
signal-event post-upgrade
signal-event reboot
