I suppose you want this to have a WAN and a LAN NIC to run in server-gateway mode. Just insert it and reconfigure by login in as admin and choosing the appropriate option from the menu (http://wiki.contribs.org/SME_Server:Documentation:Administration_Manual:Chapter5#Configuring_Server_and_Gateway_Mode)?

Other options with two NICs are not supported on SME Server.

You may need to run kudzu to detect the newly added NIC as well.

The OP specifically stated that a second LAN adapter is desired, which as has been discussed many times previously, is Not SME Best Practice.  There have been some discussions here and there; here's one in Bugzilla:

Don't. Just add a router which supports the 192.168.2.x LAN on a different port, and add the 192.168.2.x network to the SME server configuration via the local networks panel in the server manager.
