Title: Webshare and Ibays
Post by: besterl on December 09, 2008, 10:54:11 AM
Hi - I know this topic has been covered before in Legacy http://forums.contribs.org/index.php/topic,27474.0.html

But I could not find a satisfactory answer.

I have webshare installed on my 7.4 server.

It works great and is allowing my contacts / friends to upload / download file.  - Thanks Darryl.

The question is as follows:

Is it possible to map an Ibay to show the contents of the /opt/webshare folder.

In other words - the external friends use the web interface to upload / download files as needed, but internally, I can use a single Ibay to place / remove files as needed.  So instead of logging in as each of my 10 friends sending me files - I can see all their folders and use Windows Explorer to view all their files.

Currently I am using WinSCP to view the folder, but a shared folder (Ibay) would be much easier.

Here is some thoughts I have
a) Why not link the /opt/webshare to and Ibay?
b) Change the location where webshare stores files?

Any pointers / help would be greatly appreciated!!

Try to search for FileExecutive instead.

Why not create a symbolic link to an iBay inside /opt/webshare ?
