Hi all,
thanks for answering my questions (Joseph) and now I some another questions;)
Does e-smith support encrypted passwords for the Samba component?
Is it possible for clients (Windows NT) to change their Samba/E-smith password using the
NT-passwordchange dialog?

PASSWORDS: Hi Patrick! On the encrypted password front, there is good news and bad news. :-) On our system, Samba is configured to use encrypted passwords. However, to keep the Samba and Unix passwords in sync, users must use a special "personal password changing" part of the web based manager rather than the NT password change dialog. This means that when your user changes his/her password using the web based manager, the password is sent from the user's desktop to the e-smith server over the local network unencrypted. To access the personal password section of our web based manager, your users would visit the URL: www.domainname.xxx/e-smith-password. Regards! Kim
