Title: Acronis auf dem SME Server

Hi,
ich habe versucht Acronis Trueimage Echo Server auf dem SME Server 7.3 zu installieren.
Die Installation an sich ist auch ohne Probleme durchgelaufen, jedoch konnte er am Ende die kernelmodule nicht erstellen. Hier geht es um die snapapi.

Kann mir da jemand weiterhelfen.

Ich bin Linuxneuling und für jede Hilfe dankbar!

Wenn ihr noch irgendetwas wissen müßt um mir zu Helfen lasst es mich wissen.

Hi..

you can't compile your module on SME because there are no dev tools on it..

so you have 2 choices:
- search the wiki how to install dev tools
- setup a Centos 4.7, compile the kernel module and then put it on your SME

I can't find the dev tools can you help me to find the dev tools?

And if i installed the dev tools can i install the Acronis Echo server and it makes the Modules by itself????

regarding Acronis, as far as I understand you are trying to setup to make a clone of your SME.. if so, don't.. you don't need Acronis, just a good backup.
SME, as (almost) all the other linux distro can be restored in less than 20 min from a new installation and backup.

more.. SME has raid software and LVM and I don't know if Acronis can work with them.

Please read carefully the documentation, you will find all you need there..

Ich bekomme immer noch die Meldung bei der Installation von Acronis
"Das Setup von Acronis True Image Echo Server konnte die kernel-Module nicht erstellen. Konsultieren Sie

/var/log/trueimage-setup.log
und
/var/lib/dkms/snapapi26/0.7.2.8/build/make.log,

um die Fehlermeldung zu sehen."

Wenn jemand eine Anleitung für mich hätte wie ich das problem beheben kann wäre das super.

Und was sagen die logfiles dann? Hast du die schon angeschaut?

Ja die Logfiles habe ich mir angeschaut.
Bei dem Trueimage-setup steht im endefekt drin das ich in der Snapapi make.log nachsehen soll. Darin wird erklärt wie man die erforderliche datei per hand erstellt. Jedoch benötigt man laut der Anleitung den kernel source code und noch andere komponenten.
Den genauen Wortlaut werde ich morgen posten.
