HI..
I have SME server 7.2. It was installed properly without any error. I configure it. It woks fine.
But when I connect other PC to it, that PC work very slow. I change the client PC but same problem occur. When I just right click on desktop it take about 2 minutes to open. So, you can understand what's problem occur. If I disconnect the PC from server it work properly.
So, please can anyone tell me what's wrong with my server?
Thanks in advance
Avinashi

What about an update to the recent version 7.4?
Then come back and describe your hardware and network infrastructure.

Which Client OS do you use? Windows 2000, XP, Vista, Linux?
Is it a Workgroup installation or do you use Domain Login?
Have you patched the windows registry of the clients, which connect to the SME-Server?
Is the client slow even when working locally (while attached to the SME-Server)?
How do you attach to the SME-Server?
What about a Peer-to-Peer-Network under Windows? Is that slow, too?
How do you connect to the internet? What TCP/IP settings do you use? Who is DNS-server?

Is the client slow even when working locally (while attached to the SME-Server)? No. Locally working fine.
How do you attach to the SME-Server? In my computer property, I change the domain as the sme server name
What about a Peer-to-Peer-Network under Windows? Is that slow, too? How do I check this?
How do you connect to the internet? What TCP/IP settings do you use? Who is DNS-server?We are using DHCP services. In server configure we configure it as pppoE
If I connect client PC to the server as I wrote above with domain name, the PC work very slow.
So, I disconnect pc from domain. So, it working fast.

I suspect some error in the network layout. Can you try and draw/describe your network layout? Are there perhaps two servers providing DHCP to the network, this sometimes can be the cause of network slowness problems.
