Title: SMB dials out

Hi,

Funny this, Wifes MAC connects to its shared folder, Windows 98 on a laptop connects to its SMB folders fine, Windows 2000 on a desktop fine also.  But when running Mandrake Linux 8.1 and connecting using smbclient my e-smith box dials out, the Linux box only gets past the 'Mounting SMB file systems' bit of boot when a connection is made.  Odd!!  e-smith 4.1.2 (up a year solid)

Sorted,

Used the IP rather than server name in Mandrake, oOK now.
