I did 2 times a fresh install, but is still can't login in in de server manager using local network. Thru the consel i can login with root or admin. After enableling the root login at the consel i still can't login using putty. The system is using the correct network range and ip.
i'm using https://192.168.1.5/server-manager
I got the feeling that sme thinks i'm not in a local network. Any one has an idee.
A few days i go a got the same problem using an old cd sme 7.0 it did the same thing. I als used 2 pc in the same network to try an connect to sme.
I have another sme server 6.5 running in the same network and this one is ok.
When i login in the server manager the server replies with :
https://192.168.1.5/server-common/cgi-bin/login
Invalid username or password.
With the same login en passwd i can login at the consele.
tail -f /var/log/messages gives me :
server2 sshd(pam_unix)[4675]: authentication failure; logname uid=0 euid=0 tth=ssh ruser= rhost=pc-0019.mycompany.local user=root
When i installed sme at my home network it did't the same. I look thru the documentation but i can't find anything to problem out of the way
Downloaded a new image, installed language used englisch and not dutch, burned image on 16 speed. Know i can login.

Please report issues on basic functionality with fresh/non-customized installs in the bugtracker instead of in the forums. If there is a problem things need to be fixed and the only proper way for the development team would be the bugtracker. After posting a bug report please add a referral to the bug for future readers.

Could you please share with us why this issue is partly solved?
Thanks,
Craig

You could try checking the MD5 hash to see if it downloaded correctly just to avoid that issue in the future.
