Hi
I have installed a sme server 7.4 to a pc connect to a pubblic ip. I have installed groupoffice. All work fine from internal network and internet.
Now I have a problem, the user login in groupoffice all from internet. I generate a password for any user but how every user can change the password ? www.mydomain.xxx/user-password is not accesible from internet.
Please help me

Public IP addresses cannot access /user-password OR /server-manager; this is for enhanced security. You could grant access to these resources to public IPs but this is very dangerous. Probably a safer idea would be to give clients VPN access.
Just my $.02

Thanks Craig
Not possible to activate a VPN the users can login from anywhere and problably with diferent pc. VPN is not a good idea :)
There is a groupware with a webmail where i can use a user for login in groupware (myfirstname.mylastname) stored in db of groupware and where I set that the email is userofsme passwordofsme somewhere?
So I can let the user change the login to groupware and block the user and password of sme ( never change )
Best regards

Hi Francesco
if vpn is not an option, then you colud try with a ssh tunnel.. every user could use putty on a usb stick with a certificate to log in..
google is plenty of examples for it..
btw, it you are italian 8as your name/surname suggest), I hope you'll come to italian forum too ;-)

Ciao Stefano
I think that the best solution is to have two user and password, one for sme and one for the groupware, link this two user in the groupware and enable the acces at groupware with the second user and password. The user can change the password of groupware.
for example in sme:
user: sme-user
password: Sme-Password1
pseudonyms:myname.mylastname
In groupware
user: myname.mylastname
password: ThisisaPassword1
email-user: sme-user
email.pass: Sme-Password1
at first logon myname.mylastname can change the password.
Now my question is there is a groupware that can do this?
Many Thanks
