Title: Incorrect Hard Drive space
Post by: ashpenaz on February 28, 2009, 04:48:00 PM
When I look at the backup/restore tab in Server-Manager it shows I have too much data to backup reliably (61 GB). When I look at size of my user account it shows over 60 GB of data...but when I do df -h I get:

/dev/mapper/main-root
                      146G  6.4G  132G   5% /
/dev/md1           99M   41M   54M  44% /boot
none                375M     0  375M   0% /dev/shm

Which looks to me like its not reading space availability correctly. Network Neighborhood shows my user account with about 10 GB used.
My question: How can I get SME to re-read and report the disk space accurately? Thanks in advance.

Who says it is reporting the wrong numbers? Do you perhaps have symlinks lying around pointing to the root somewhere or create some sort of circular reference?

I have never done symlinks...it is not very customized. Windows sees 145 G total space and 131 G free space.
