Hi all
Following the discovery of a security issue relating the SiteX integration package, I have upgraded the integration RPM.
To update your installation:
wget http://sme.david-harper.com/data/smeserver-sitex-1.0-3.noarch.rpm
yum -y localupdate smeserver-sitex-1.0-3.noarch.rpm
expand-template /opt/sitex/includes/globals.php.inc
There is no need to post-upgrade or reboot.
Thanks to Charlie Brady for finding this bug and assisting with its resolution.

Good news! Even though it's Sunday, I know how to fix this one 8)
From the wiki page (http://wiki.contribs.org/SiteX#Setup):
Finally, you must go to the Site Preferences administration panel and set the FQDN from which your site will be accessed, e.g. http://www.mysmedomain.com/sitex. By default, SiteX enters your unqualified servername as the URL, e.g. http://server/sitex, making external resolution by visitors impossible.
Let me know how you get on.

We should probably start a new thread on this but....
I have the same problem; External users get asked for a Account and password. None of the account/password combinations allow access.
I use 123-reg to host the domain (westforest41club.org.uk). I have tried redirecting using the 123-reg control panel to my server http://217.146.123.173/sitex (no end /), http://217.146.123.173/sitex/ and http://217.146.123.173/ without any luck. Without the /sitex I get the SME default web page.
Sitex is set as follows:
Your SiteX version: 0.7.4 (Build 418)
Site Name: West Forest 41 Club
Site URL: http://www.westforest41club.org.uk/sitex
Server path: /opt/sitex
I can access it locally via westforest41club.org.uk as I have added an entry in my host file. I have asked in the sitex formums without response. :-)
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Tony

Try this:
config setprop sitex PublicAccess global
expand-template /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf
sv h /service/httpd-e-smith
