Title: Horde Problems

Anyone knows what to do about this problem??
When users log into their web mail it gives the following message at the top of the screen,

Quote

"The preferences backend is currently unavailable and your preferences have not been loaded. You may continue to use the system with default settings."

I searched in the forums and I already ran the command "signal-event mail-update" but that hasn't gotten rid of it.

first of all, you should tell us more: SME version, update status ecc.

then, as you can read on top of the page every time you post, DON'T REPORT PROBLEMS HERE.. please open a bug in bugzilla, thank you

This could indicate an issue with one of the horde components' prefs.php file.  You need to watch the log while running the email-update and see if there are any errors.

I had the same problem with my new server. Clean install and restore using backup from my old server.

Ver. 7.4 both old and new.

I had phpmyadmin on my old server, and the problem was solved hven i installed it again on my new server after restore. I was using this guide to install phpmyadmin: http://wiki.contribs.org/Phpmyadminmulti

Now everything is running as usual... uncluding webmail :-)
