Title: E-Smith and External Firewall
Post by: amigatec on May 24, 2002, 06:59:23 PM
I am using IPCop as a Firewall, I would like to use E-Smith as a Web/FTP server in the DMZ. Is there some easy way of doing this?

Hi,
Use the port-forwarding feature of IP-Cop to forward ports 80(http) and 21(ftp) to the E-Smith box. I use Smoothwall (from which IP Cop is derived) and the port-forwarding works flawlessly.

I'm using Freesco as my Firewall and I'm trying to get the E-Smith FTP server to work behind this Firewall.

I've tried to port forward 21 to the E-Smith box but it didn't work.  Do I have to configure E-Smith FTP server in any way?
