I know a solution to fix it:
uninstall dansguardian
after do your yum update
and finally reinstall dansguardian
 :???:

But, my dansguardian configuration is a bit heavy so a also look for a way to fix it without uninstall/reinstall dansguardian

So you did an update of dansguardian?
and no need to re-configure dansguardian?

i did   update of dansguardian
yum update --enablerepo=smecontribs dansguardian clamav

i did

yum update --enablerepo=smecontribs dansguardian clamav It updates clamav and dansguardian

in etc/dansguardian i get 2 new files
dansguardian.conf.rpmnew
dansguardian.conf1.rpmnew

I did changes to suited those new files to my original .conf and f1.conf

service dansguardian restart
and its ok

in etc/dansguardian i get  new files
dansguardian.conf.rpmnew
  new files    Apr  4    02:41x
  dansguardian.conf.rpmnew               x  22447xApr  4 02:41
 dansguardian.pl                               x   2607xApr  4 02:41
 dansguardianf1.conf                         x  11623xApr  4 02:41
 transparent1x1.gif                            x     55xApr  4 02:41x

and its ok ?
