as SME is CentOS i.e RH, you should check the hcl on their respective sites.

btw, try to check here (http://smolt.contribs.org) if you find something usefull

Is that an opt-in or opt-out for SME Servers?
Meaning are we automatically listed or do we have to set it up?

I don't see any discussion about opt-in or opt-out. AFAIK it is always-on.
