Title: multidrop dial out URGENT
Post by: Ronald Tanis on May 27, 2002, 11:44:17 AM
Hello,

I have installed a few mitel boxes, with a multidrop box for everyone
i have configured that it must dial out every hour to collect e-mail.

It isn't working, it dial out, but it won't collect e-mail.

when I manually start /etc/fetchmail on the mitel box every thing works fine.
when i manually start /etc/startmail on the mitel box it won't work, it just
won't collect e-mail

What can i Do.

With regards ,
Ronald

Hi,

edit your /etc/crontab file and replace all the startmail words with fetchmail.

This is not an official one, but it works for now.

I'll already have tried that, it works great for 1 time, e-smith put his original confiugration back. so when i fetches mail the next time the configuration file /etc/crontab is the original one.

Thanks for your time,
Ronald

That's what I mean Stephen ;-)

Make a custom template for the /etc/crontab file.
