I'm trying to b/u to usb using the web panel. it keeps erroring out that it can't mount the usb drive. However using the admin panel it works just fine. Here is what mount gets me:
Apr 23 15:39:08 ****** scsi.agent[7811]: disk at /devices/pci0000:00/000 0:00:0f.2/usb1/1-2/1-2:1.0/host6/target6:0:0/6:0:0:0
here is the email that is sent out:
Backup started at Thu Apr 23 15:45:03 2009 Backup of mysql databases has been done.
Mounting backup shared directory localhost/media/SME
*** No backup allowed or error during backup *** Error while mounting /media/SME :
mount: can't find /media/SME in /etc/fstab or /etc/mtab
Any help would be great.

Katumba,
Making a Bug report about your issue is good advice, you will not only assist in improving the distro if indeed there is a bug, but also get the best diagnostic there is, and this will probably help you. Please give as much information as you can. In particular, provide details of your system (are you running 7.4?) tell us how you are trying to backup (I assume that what you call the web panel is in fact what we call Server-Manager, correct?), how is the backup utility configured (I assume you are using DAR and selecting backup to workstation?) , how is your USB device formatted. Thanks.

thank you. I submitted a bug.
Can you explain to me why using that forum to ask questions is better than posting here? Questions used to get answered and explained over here for as long as I can remember using SME (2001 at least).

Questions are still being posted and answered here. However, your particular issue could be a bug, it needs investigating by the Development Team. The best place to do this is in the Bugtracker.
