Title: AMD 64 powernow or coolnquiet
Post by: qmanblue on April 26, 2009, 04:19:11 AM
I have a modern AMD64 MB and would like to turn on Powernow (cool n quiet). In searches I am not finding much info. I am using ver 7.4 of SME.  Does this version support AMD powernow as built?  Do I need to recompile or?  Also, if supported or once I recompile, what package do I go after? and how to configure?

Thanks. So far a great OS!

hi

a 10 seconds research with "centos amd powernow" on Google give me this (https://fcp.surfsite.org/modules/smartfaq/faq.php?faqid=2348) as first result.

Yes,

I saw this message. However how does this help?

Cent OS is based on Red Hat?  This  was from 2005, and tells me until I find a specific release message, support isn't there. I am supposed to imply that since that was 5 years ago, it's there now?, or just the opposite.

OK, I answered the first question. I had no idea that CENTOS was based on Redhat. However, while I couldn't find an answer to the question of CENTOS support, I now know to look for info on RedHat.

Thanks.
