Title: SME 7 and multiple ISPs ?
Post by: spyrule on May 23, 2009, 04:51:11 PM
Hello,

I have been looking around, and I cannot find a referece to this issue...

I would like to use an SME 7 server as a gateway for TWO ISP sources.  Does SME support this function?

I would like specifically that all email/vpn/ftp traffic flow via isp1 and all other data (outbound) to use isp2, is this possible?

No SME Server ony supports one WAN and one LAN interface and is not prepared for such advanced routing jobs.

Yes, except it will only accept a 1 to 1 (server to user) PPTP VPN Connection in the current version, so it's out.

it's OT here, but are you talking about from lan to a remote server or from wan to the server?
because as it's based on m0n0wall, you can use as pptpd server with radius auth on SME

you would need to do something like this http://andrewbevitt.com/tutorials/linux-multiwan-router/
