I got a set of 5 ip addresses from my ISP. I use one for the Server (SAGW Mode) and I would like to use another for a printer attached to a print server on the local LAN.
The print server has a local IP of 192.168.1.15 and the public IP that I want to use is 216.199.xxx.xxx (this is not the same IP assigned to the E-Smith Server and Gateway). Is there a way to pass everything destined for the "printer" ip to the print server on the local LAN?
Thanks for your help.
Sincerely,
Rick Evans

I don't think so, I was looking for something that wroks well with the SME server and is not too hard to install. I have a feeling I would horribly disfigure my server if I attempted to install it.
I was hoping there was a simple command you could run as 'root' or setting in server-manger that you could set that would accomplish what I am looking for.
Is it not possible?
Thanks for you help.

I have not seen this done before on SME. But I may be wrong! My work around for this would be to
a) VPN into SME and then print
b) My personal workaround since I have an XP box with a class c static ip: Use the Web print interface built into Win XP.

Can you detail a little more on your b) solution?
I am not usre what you mean, maybe it will work for me too.
Thanks for your help,

If you have Windows XP loaded onto a workstation any of the printers that this workstation can access you can also access from the web. If you go into the Control panel-->Add/remove programs-->Add/remove windows components-->Internet Information Services-->World Wide Web Service-->Printers Virtual Directory. Adding the Printers Virtual Directory Component will build a web page on your workstation that will link to each of your printers. Basically giving each printer a URL. So to attach to the printer you just add \IP\Printer name where you add printers from your remote location.
