Title: Can't log in to mysql
Post by: adrem on July 04, 2009, 05:23:14 PM
Hello,
I can't log in to mysql on sme server 7.4.
I get respond
ERROR 1045 (28000): Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost' (using password: NO)
I have read that if logged in to the SME Server shell a special mechanism is in place to log  in with MySQL root privileges without prompting  for the password. What I did wrong?

You probably did modify the special password, which breaks the auo-login magic. For this urpose we have the search function and the FAQ:

http://wiki.contribs.org/SME_Server:Documentation:FAQ#MySQL_root_password

I think you need to reset your root password for it all to make it work again. If that does not work then you need to raise a bug.
