Title: Squid/Dansguardian port 8080 blocked
Post by: DeMan on July 06, 2009, 10:09:41 AM
Hi support,

I have a SME gateway server installed with squid and dansguardian on top of it.
The combination works perfect... Only remote content on port 8080 isn´t visable.
I don´t know if this is for all content on port 8080.

e.g.

Skarplus.dataswitch.be:8080

How can I exclude this side from Dansguardian?

Please advice.

Kind regards,

Bob van der Waard

Dansguardian by default uses port 8080, and AFAIK that cannot be easily changed.

The easiest solution is to change the external access port to something else eg port 9090

eg
Skarplus.dataswitch.be:9090

Hi,

This is an external source, I can´t change their port numbers!

My previous firewall with dansguardian and squid didn´t have this problem... btw not a SME server.
