Title: Linux Client cann't view their home directory
Post by: khphearun on July 14, 2009, 05:34:39 AM
Hi team-list,

I have used SEM server for over 1 year in my office, but i never test whether how it looks like when user access from Linux client.
Just now, when they accessed from Linux client, they did not see their home directory like Windows.
Why? did i do something wrong ? how to let them view their home dir in Linux client.

Thanks in advance for help,
Phearun

browse the network, I assume you can see the ibays
eg
smb://server/ibay

edit this to say
smb://server/username

smb://server/username
It works well follow your way, thz. One more problem is that my shared printer still does not show when access from Linux client that's why they can not use the my shared printer. any solutions with this?

Best,
Phearun

for KDE see http://wiki.contribs.org/Mepis#Printing

for gnome it's similar / simpler
with ubuntu the printer should show up as a smb shared printer on the local network
i just give a username and select the driver
